A 12-year-old was among three boys arrested Monday on murder charges during a three-hour SWAT standoff in Cleveland, Ohio.

Deputy U.S. marshals and Cleveland police arrested the trio about noon at a home on Gambier and West 98th streets in the city’s Cudell neighborhood.

Two 17-year-old boys were also found hiding inside the home. Both are charged in separate fatal shootings, officials said.

Deputy marshals found the 12-year-old and one of the 17-year-old boys hiding in the basement, where investigators found a gun. The other 17-year-old was found hiding in the third floor.

The 12-year-old and one of the teenagers are charged in connection with the February 25 fatal shooting of 19-year-old Devon Orr.

The shooting happened about 3:40 p.m. at an apartment on West 28th and Washington streets in the Ohio City neighborhood. Police said Orr was at the apartment with his girlfriend when three others arrived to smoke marijuana.

Orr and the other three were in the stairway when residents reported hearing a single gunshot and seeing the other three running away. Police found Orr dead with a gunshot wound to his chest.

The 12-year-old boy was on house arrest at the time of the shooting on an attempted murder charge, but he had cut off his GPS-monitored ankle bracelet, according to the U.S. marshals.

The other 17-year-old boy arrested Monday is charged in connection with a February 11 fatal shooting in the city’s Detroit-Shoreway neighborhood.

In that case, police found 21-year-old Bryan Conley, dead from multiple gunshot wounds in his car on Dudley Avenue near West 78th Street.
