Police in Missouri are investigating a deadly shooting of a 30-year-old man allegedly shot and killed by his own cousin in St. Louis on Monday.

According to St. Louis County Prosecuting Attorney’s Office, an arrest warrant was issued for 29-year-old Alex Callier IV. Callier is being charged with second degree murder, armed criminal action, and tampering with physical evidence in a felony prosecution.

Callier is accused of killing his cousin, 30-year-old Decorion Wilson.

According to a report, Callier and his cousin went to a nearby store and began to argue over some money. Video shows what appears to be an argument between the two men. Wilson walks away and then returns to Callier and starts talking. There is nothing in the Wilwon’s hands and he did not reach for anything at his waist from what the video shows.

Witnesses indicated there were no prior threats of violence by Wilson and that he did not reach for a weapon and was in fact unarmed.

Callier shot Wilson and fled the scene. He was arrested three blocks away.

During an interview with the detective, Callier admitted his part in the shooting and that Wilson was unarmed. He tossed the weapon but told police that he could not recall where.

Callier is being held on $150,000 cash only, no 10% bond.

St. Louis County detectives from the Bureau of Crimes Against Persons are leading this investigation.

Anyone with information on Wilson’s murder is asked to called the Major Case Squad at 618-355-9793 or call CrimeStoppers at 866-371-8477 to remain anonymous.
