Authorities in South Carolina have identified the woman killed in an apparent domestic shooting on May 27.

24-year-old Adiarylis Fowler was pronounced dead at the scene of the afternoon shooting on Birchwood Drive, Berkeley County Coroner Darnell D. Hartwell said.

Police arrested 34-year-old Trivelle Fowler of Holly Hill the same day as the shooting and have charged him with murder. He was the husband of the slain woman, Hartwell said.

Trivelle Fowler is being held without bail at the Berkeley County jail.

Officers were called to 432 Birchwood Drive at 4:15 p.m. on May 27 to investigate a possible homicide. They arrived to find an unresponsive woman with apparent gunshot wounds, according to police.

Details about the incident remain scarce, and investigators have not revealed the circumstances behind the death or a possible motive. Police said only that their investigation led them to identify Fowler as the shooting suspect.

Police said the incident remains under investigation, and anyone with information can call the Berkeley County Sheriff’s Office dispatch at (843) 719-4169 or Lowcountry Crime Stoppers at (843) 554-1111.
