A Nebraska man accused of breaking into a Bellevue family’s home with the intent to kill was held on bond in Sarpy County court according to reports.

Austin Hall is charged with attempted second-degree murder, burglary, and terroristic threats.

According to the arresting affidavit, Bellevue police were dispatched to reports of a burglary near 27th Street and Schneekloth Road around 3 a.m. Monday.

Hall had visions of the end of the world and then drove to the home of a childhood friend’s house, but the friend no longer lived at the residence, according to the document.

Hall said he woke up a 17-year-old in the downstairs bedroom, who then punched him. Hall strangled the teen and restricted his airway for three to four seconds, according to the affidavit.

In court, Hall’s attorney, Tom Petersen, complained the booking information was incorrect since his arrest.

Bond was set at $2 million, and Hall would have to wear home video monitoring, and an ankle bracelet.

He also would not be allowed contact with the alleged victim or the child.

Hall’s next preliminary hearing is set for July 27.
