A 19-year-old North Carolina woman was shot to death Monday in the parking lot of a Fayetteville Valero gas station.
Around 1:30 a.m., Fayetteville police responded to a shooting in the 800 block of Bragg Blvd. Officers found 19-year-old Danielle Claire Golcher suffering from a gunshot wound. She was pronounced deceased on the scene.
A man also arrived at a local hospital with non-life threatening injuries sustained during the shooting.
Police said this does not appear to be a random shooting.
Homicide detectives are on scene, as this is an active investigation. Additional information will be released as it becomes available.
