Fairfax County police in Virginia arrested and charged a person of interest they believe is connected to the death of a woman who was found in a tent at Burke Lark Park campgrounds on Saturday, according to reports.

Officers arrested Rami El Sayed and charged him with second-degree murder after locating him in New Jersey Monday morning.

Police said the Paterson Police Department in New Jersey swiftly arrested El Sayed and he will be extradited back to Fairfax County.

On Saturday, Fairfax County police said around 3 p.m., officers responded to Burke Lake Park following a 911 call and discovered the remains of 40-year-old Cara Abbruscato inside a tent.

Fairfax County Fire and Rescue crews were also called to the scene and pronounced Abbruscato dead. The Chief Medical Examiner’s office determined that Abbruscato had trauma to the upper body.

At this time, the manner of death still remains a mystery and an autopsy is underway.

Police are asking anyone who may have gone to Burke Lake Park campgrounds between Sept. 19 to Sept. 30 and may have noticed a makeshift tent to come forward.
