A Texas man was shot and killed while getting a haircut at a barber shop inside North Star Mall in San Antonio on Sunday afternoon.

The deadly shooting happened around 3 p.m. at a barber shop centrally located in a wing near a side entrance of the mall.

Police said two men walked into the barber shop and shot the victim while he was getting a haircut. The two suspects ran off after the shooting.

The victim was pronounced dead at the scene. The Bexar County Medical Examiners office identified the victim as 33-year-old Adam Glass.

The shooting left shoppers and employees in a panic, as officers descended on the mall in search of the shooters.

The mall was closed down for the remainder of the day.

Our victim was getting a haircut, you know, on a Sunday at the mall,” said Nick Soliz, San Antonio Police spokesperson. “Two suspects come in and shoot him in cold blood you know, in the middle of the day, so, I think at this time, we have reason to believe it was targeted situation.

Police are actively searching for the two suspects. San Antonio Police Chief William McManus said during a press conference on Monday that two suspects shown on surveillance video being dropped off at the mall and then entering the barbershop.

No other information was released by Chief McManus due to the ongoing investigation.
